SUARA KITA! stands as a dynamic coalition, uniting passionate patient advocacy groups (PAGs) across Malaysia in a shared mission of empowerment and policy reform.
Our founding members include esteemed organizations such as the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), Colorectal Cancer Survivorship Society of Malaysia (CORUM), Hemophilia Society of Malaysia (HSM), Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, Malaysia Rare Disease Society (MRDS), and the Society of Cancer Advocacy & Awareness Kuching (SCAN).
Together, we are the forerunner of patient advocacy, driven by a collective dedication to amplifying patient voices and fuelled by a shared commitment to drive meaningful change within Malaysia’s healthcare landscape.
Our journey began with a transformative capacity building workshop hosted by Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) in Singapore, back in May 2022. From this pivotal moment, the PAGs recognized the urgent need for enhanced patient advocacy infrastructure in Malaysia. Our coalition of PAGs joined forces, igniting a movement dedicated to empowering local advocates and spearheading meaningful policy reforms in healthcare.
